Hi, Need to know if StarCD can do pure sliding(rotation)without attachment boundaries ?? Meaning, if there is a gap between fluid regions, can there happen pure rotation only until it sees another fluid region ?? Please send replies.
Thanks, Mac. |

hi,
If my understanding is correct, you want to set the gap at 0 rpm and different rotational speed on both sides. If so then you can set the gap rotation with positive and negative sign so it will not rotate. Arpan |

Thanks Arpan for posting your reply..
Let me frame the question again. Assuming that a rotating member slides across a stationery member and if there is a gap in the stationery member, will the rotating member purely rotate in this gap region ?? Please reply. Thanks a ton. |

Hello Mac,
Sorry to say but I am not able to answer your question. I am too fresh with star-cd to answer this question. Regards, Arpan |
