When using the command "getw, ftot,p,rela" in windows 2000 version STAR-CD to load wall data, the output window gave erro message "**NOTE - REALLOCATING MEMORY CREATING WALL BOUNDARY SHELLS **ERROR - NOT ENOUGH SCRATCH SPACE. USE THE MEMORY COMMAND TO SET PARAMETER MAXSC2 TO AT LEAST 18577799, THEN REISSUE HIS COMMAND"!
I used "memory maxsc2 ????(a number)" and "memory write" and run "getw, ftot,p,rela" again and the Prostar interface shutdown! After Prostar interface shutdown: error message is: segmentation fault The solved problem have 0.7 million cells such number is small for my computer,Can any one tell meb what is the matter? appreciates your help! thank you! Thank you for your suggestion!
I have tried it,but the prostar shutdown still and the cmd console gave the segmentation fault erro. I am at the end of my wits! Isn't it a bug of STAR-CD for windows version? I have no idea! Thank you anyway, Allan! |

To determine wether it is a bug or not try starting prostar without the graphical interface, under linux it is the x option. If the command works i.e. returns you to the prompt then it's a bug.
Then contact your local support. Hope this helps allan |
