k-omega setting

Hello, I am trying to set the turbulence model to k-omega SST / high Re.
I am setting this through the thermophysical properties tab on the star guide. However, when I try to apply the turbulence switch to the inlet velocity, I cannot select k-omega? I solved the problem neway, after viewing the turbulent kinetic energy plot, it was seen to be constant throughout. what is the significance of the turbulence switch, and how can i apply the turbulence condition. |

I don't know if this will clean up all your problem or not.
According to the 3.24 supplementary release notes, for k-Omega SST you need to set Rcon 159 to a characteristic velocity & Rcon 160 to a characteristic length. |

wrong answer. in methodoligy rcon 159 and rcon 160 is connected with DES modelling.

I'm just reporting what I read in the supplementary release notes. The same supplementary release notes that indicate k-Omega SST is DES!

The sst model usualy is not DES. To use SST model in DES statement you must set rcon 159 and 160 else do not set this constants. Conclusion if you set this constants then you use sst model in DES statemnt. If you want use regular sst model then not toush this constants. Furthermore SST mode in STAR-CD is not working properly at this time, they do not work in conjugate heattransfer(have not agreement with literature).
