Dear All,
I am a new STAR-CD user. Just wanted to ask that how do I solve a CFD model for a solution in STAR solver. I have generated the mesh in Gridgen and wrote it out for STAR-CD. Being a FLUENT user where you only read in a .cas file, this time there are four files written out by Gridgen for STAR-CD. I would be most grateful if any one can suggest on how we go on about it. I want to compare lift and drag values between Fluent and Star-CD. Thanks in advance. Matt |

Most likely the four files had the extensions .inp, .vrt, .cel, and .bnd. Open up pro-star and use the ifil command with the .inp file, i.e.
ifile, filename.inp This will then use the other files to create the model. A word of advice: take a look at the star tutorials. The manual is available online via the Help menu in pro-star. |
