Hello everybody,
I` m studying on an airfoil model. When I use k-omega model, I'm getting such a warning: *** WARNING #090 *** VALUE ELOG*YPLUS OR ELOG*EFFVIS/(CAPPA*VISCOS) IS LESS THAN 1.1 AT 199 CELLS. UPLUS=YPLUS LAW IS USED. IF THIS SITUATION PERSISTS, INCORRECT RESULTS MAY BE OBTAINED. According to my calculations with the same model using k-epsilon model, y+ ist between 0-10. So, What could be the reason and the solution for such a warning? Thanks, Tunc |

If you use a high reynolds number turbulence modell your y+ should between 30 and 200. Otherwise use a low-re formuation (maybe together with hybrid wall functions)

Actually, I have done this also (I mean using high reynolds (k-epsilon) turbulence model). In this case my y+ values were between 0-10. And now with k-omega model my y+ values are also between 0-10. But I donī t understand that, why I` m getting such a warning only with k-omega model. My y+ values are smaller than the suggested values in both cases. But the warning only comes with k-omega model?
