Have starcd some technology like fluent dynamic me
Fluent dynamic mesh zone could re-mesh the mesh around rigid body when some rigid body pass to new aera. Can starcd realize it? |

Dynamic mesh and automatic solution adapted remeshing is not available in STAR-CD!

Moving mesh in star is available for ages but in a slightly different manner than in fluent. A very nice solution for this problem using overset (chimera) grids should be released very soon. The examples are very impressive.

But if I want to move a rigid body not only towards x direction but also y direction in same time,What should i do?How to do?

Moving mesh in star has absolute nothing to do with dynamic mesh in fluent. This is a total different issue.
Kevin, your kind of problem can't be simulated in Star so far. Maybe in the future? |

Without a closer look at the problem we should not say that it is impossible. The combination of moving grid together with cell layer addition/removal is a very powerful tool which has the big advantage over the remeshing that no mapping of the solution date is required. It is also much faster during the calculation than remeshing.
Maybe it helps to contact the support with some detailed information about the case. |

The dynamic mesh of fluent is like to remesh in every iteration.
SO it take so many time to run dynamic mesh. In STAR-CD the moving mesh use event, newxyz. It take time when pre-processing , but it take few time whem solving. The overlay mesh is the best solution in the future. |
