I have generated a 2D shell model in x-y plane but have no idea how to extrude it to 3D. I know the command 2D3D but it seems that it only allows me to extrude with a constant thickness (one cell thick). Could anybody help me in this regard. Thanks.

Have you tried the VCEX command yet?

Thanks,4xF! Actually I just use 2D3D to extrude it by one layer. Anything I could do now to extrude it further? I tried VCEX but the following error message appears: ERROR - NO VALID EXTRUDABLE CELLS CHOSEN. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, William!! The following command extrudes 50 in the positive x position. What if I want to extrude in the z position? And what does the number '1.03' and '300' mean?
Vcex,60,offset,cset,,,local,1.03,,,,nonun,300 |
