Dear All,

I have refined a part of my tetrahedral mesh as i have noticed that the solution is not converging because of accumulation of temeratures at that zone.

I have created couples between the coarse and fine mesh and did couple check. It shows 0 errors.

when i checked boundaries, it gives the following error.

ERROR - CELL 96767 FACE 5 APPEARS TO BE INCORRECRLY ASSIGNED TO COUPLE 7676.

What does it mean and how can i fix it. please help me out.

bv

check the couples again. I think the check finds not every time all errors in couples.

Try the couple check in ProAM and in ProStar (Couple Tool). I think it is not the same check.

And try to write out a *.ngeom file (for StarCCM+ see in help) instead of *.geom. There is another and automatic couple check which can find some more couple problems.

Any way, you have a problem with the couple, you have to delete all couples with errors: - Generate a cset from that cell region, - be sure you have merged all vertices and delete all double vertices in the cset. - it is usefull to number the cells in the small cset, just to see the affected cells. - find out if there are 2 couples for the same master face. If yes, you can merge the both couples. - If not, there is some more work to do. Find out which cells are involved in the couple error (see Couple-List), - delete only this couple (see Couple-List), - make a crack check (from that cset only) (see in NavCenter) - If there is a crack in the cset, you have to generate a new couple. - For the new couple isolate in a cset only the master and ALL the slaves for this master. Create the new couple. - If you don't isolate ONLY that one master with all (!!!) the slaves for this master, it is possible to generate new couple errors if there is another second master face in the cset with NOT ALL his slaves. The you will get the same situation you have discribed in you problem.

If you are not familiar with this, StarCD can drive you mad.

Good luck
