Display in Windows

Hello all. I am new to Star-CD and am having problems with getting the display to work properly in the Windows XP Pro environment. I have installed the version of XVision that came with the software; however, I keep getting an error message when I try to open any of the products available from the Star-Launch screen such as Pro-Star, etc. The error says "Error attempting to open X display". It seems like this must be an environment variable that needs to be set but I have tried and tried without any success to configure it properly. Any help that can be offered would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Try to go to the Vision Communications applet in the Controls Panel. Select the Transports tab. Highlight the TCP-Unix option and press the Properties button. Change the Availability Status to Enable this transport. Also ensure that Include this transport in automatic selection is checked.
You can also try to read the STAR-CD FAQ section about Display problems. |
