hello again,

has anyone come across this error when running star

*** WARNING #065 *** OUT OF BOUNDS VALUE -2.9807E+05 FOR SCALAR VARIABLE ENTH AT CELL 226381. CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN

it stops reporting this warning after 100 cells have the out of bounds value

this error is reported in my .info file, there is a massive amount of heat input into my domain, and the results are useless.

Does anyone have any pointers or things i need to check to resolve this warning 065.

my model is a large domain, with many inlet and fixed outlet, medium velocity (5-12m/s) 1.8m fluid cells, hvac scenario in a room

i'm using k/e high re number, wall functions, simple algorithm, steady state run,

i would appreciate if some users could point me in the right direction for things i should be checking in order to get my simulation running

thanks in advance

density is constant

temperature calculation on

etc

any advices?

hi,

the blending factor for Mars is default setup of 0.5

i changed the discretisation scheme to Upwind Diff and changed density to F(t) and it now runs fine without giving the warning 065.

Maybe i should not use Mars for the initial run as this is a 2nd order scheme?

would i be correct here?

thanks somnath
