Good day,
I have recently downloaded and installed the STAR CCM+. To practice some simulation, I am looking for .cas files for simple fluid flow phenomena like fully developed pipe flow, Hagen-Poiseulle flow, Couette flow and flow over cylinder. Can any guide me? I do not have access to Pro-STAR!! Thanks and regards, Amod |

If you download the "Star-ccm+ -Box set" you get Stardesign together with CCM+. This way you will be able to create whatever you want yourself, even with polyhedral meshes.

i get the feeling that if he doesnt have access ot star-cd that means he doesnt have a license and is using the "try out" version with limited functionality. In which case he needs to find himself a mesh

Star CCM+ Box is a newly released version of Star-Design which uses Star-CCM+ instead of Star-CD as its "backbone"

The STAR-CCM+ Box Set is a licensed product that combines STAR-CCM+ with STAR-Design. If you are an existing user of STAR-CD you can download it from www.cd-adapco.com:
http://www.cd-adapco.com/news/releases/box_set.htm The STAR-CCM+ demo version is a free version of STAR-CCM+, that includes sample .sim files that you can use to explore the software. The demo version is fully functional, only limited in the number of cells that you can use (16,000 cells per CPU and a maximum of 2 CPUs). If you have existing Fluent or STAR-CD models that are below this limit you can run them with the demo version. http://www.cd-adapco.com/products/CCMdemo.htm |
