hi star users,
i have a large model that when checked in the Nav Centre connectivity check option, it reports that i have 2 disconnected groups. the error is: Error - Cells in the range appear to be in 2 disconnected groups Group 1 No. of cells 1643416 Group 2 No. of cells 3 Group 1 is the main fluid domain group 2 ? i dont know what this is? Is there a way i can isolate Group 2 and delete the 3 cells, so that i do not get the connectivity cell errors? 3 dodgy cells deleted from 1.6million i am not too worried about the consequences, any advice how to do this thanks in advance ted |

If you do a cell count it will tell you which group the cells are in. Then do a cset, newset, type,XX where XX= cell goup. Cplot then to see them. It could be as easy as doing a vertex megre to join them up.

I am sorry, I did not use specific language. The cell table number is the group, or the cell type. Tom

Normally the the cell group numbers are written into post register 4. Therefore it should be possible to use
cset news prange 4 2 2 to select the disconnected cells. You also could use a contour plot to look on the cells. Good luck. |
