I am working on doing a CFD for a centrifugal pump. I can create a grid in Prostar-surf and i was wondering if there was any fairly easy way to generate a flow volume on this grid i have created. thank you

You need to store the surface in a database file and then bring it into pro-STAR/AM (pro-am) which contains a number of methods for creating volume meshes from surfaces.

i am having some problems with the surface fixing. Whenever i try to fix the surfaces, it bascially deletes all the surfaces. Are the curve tolerances too high or what do you feel is the problem?

It's possible that the curve tolerances are too high. Are you fixing the surfaces with automatic CAD repair or with the manual CAD repair tools?

how do you change the tolerances?? also, could u list the steps for automatic meshing? all i want to do in amm is just to create a flow volume. thanks
