Hi
Do you know if it is possible to run a model that has scalars along with all their flow variables and scalars with these u,v,w & P turned off at the same time? I have not been able to do it. Appreciate any suggestions Many thanks CM |

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but it sounds like a method I use for dye tracing and flow visualiztion.
First get a converged steady state solution. Now create a scalar, and run the model for one iteration to initialize the scalar all at zero. Then set up a transient case, using the existing solution as an initial field, and switch off the solution of everything except the scalar. Put in at least one non-zero boundary condition for the scalar. It runs really fast and you get to see the dye move through the domain. |
