Mass Flux values and calculations

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the definitions of the mass flux values 1 through 6. I have looked through the methodology and user manuals, and cant find anything definite in there. I need to find values for mass flux in the x y and z directions - I assume that these are in there somewhere, but I cant seem to find which ones are which.
Also, regarding the Post>Flux Sum feature. Is there any way of using the results of the calculations to perform operations on values in the post registers? I was hoping to be able to use the flux sum across the outlet boundary to calculate mass averaged values for the variables here, but cant figure out quite how to do it. Thanks a lot. |

Firstly select the outlet boundary and then put vertex set over it and then cell set to the news vertex set. Then from post> get the required directional cell or vertex data from .pst file for that cell or vertex set only. then get the avg velocity in three direction, multypling by the corresponding area u can get the mass flux in three different directions.
