and the max and average courant number is turning out to be inf.

Your mesh moving algorithm does not work correctly. Cell number 481823 is not a valid cell shape anymore.

If you load the *.div file for postprocessing just do a

getv coor

cset news clis 481823

cplo

and you will see the problem.
