sir,
i am new user to star cd and proam, my geometry involves six inlet manifolds with plenum( ic engine) i want to generate a volume mesh (trimmed cells) with 1mm layer using subsurface technique....but i failed to generate mesh with 1mm layer. Any idea why??? i need a help. thanks in advance kumar |

hi,
some times the subsurface mesh extrusion dosent work the way we desire. you can do one thing. use livesurf command in prostar and extract the outer surface and extrude it using VCEXT command. |

Have you done a surface check? Possible reasons for failure are disconnected areas in your surface or orientation problems. What error message do you get?

dear sankar and Volker,
thank you for your kind response. i made some corrections in the surface mesh and i am successful in generating a volumemesh with layer. once again thankq anand |
