Hi all
I am using STAR-CD 3.22. Base case using high Re number k-e model and standard wall function has been converged. At this moment, I hope to check my mesh generation is adequate. Can you let me know how to calculate y+ and turbulence intensity and plot them? Thanks in advance. Jihwan |

To plot y+ at wall you can use standart ProSTAR facilities. First of all, you have to write y+ to .pst file (a check button in Analysis Output). After you load .pst file just select Data to load - Wall Data, and there will be Y+. Don't use averaging! Then look for ProSTAR output, which type of cell was created for wall boundaries. Select cells of this type and go to main menu: Plot->Wall Plot. Plot type shoul be Contour plot.
Relationship between turbulent intensity and k and epsilon is somewhere in Methodology |
