Default compliance modelling of arteries

Hi all,

we are trying to model blood flows in arteries. We need to model the arteries to have compliance, i.e. movement in the vessel walls due to pressure of the blood pulse through the veins.

Has anyone tried this, or got some useful info how I should go about doing this.

Thanks loads. Dave

Just an example of a nice mesh:

But this is asking password. I think this site is not for general people, but only for license holders.

You can send an email to support@gridpro.com and ask for the password. Gridpro is just a very nice tool to mesh this kind of geometries.

The big advantage here is, that you can create meshes for slightly changed geometries by simply moving the verticies . So you load a new surface file into Gridpro and re-run the mesh generation (automatic process). Then you can do a "vread" in prostar to get the new vertex positions. Now cou can do a simple restart of the star calculation, which saves you ages of time.
