Hello All,

How can one convert a *.ezs or *.psr or *.pvt or procadmesh.dbs file to .mdl file so that it can be used in prostar for cfd simulations.

I am trying to convert .ccd file created in star design into .mdl file for prostar but my computer is getting hanged for a simple model even with 256 MB Ram.

Will be waiting for your tips/tricks and help,

Dear Arnab,

I do not know how you are trying to convert .ccd from star design to .mdl to read in prostar.

But what i do is the following:

1) After completeing a model in star design go to solver/Edit solver properties/number of iterations. then put 1 in number of iterations box.

2)Go to solver/run solver.

3)go to your present working directory (before exit from star design) check the folder with name temp.

4) open the temp folder there u can find one more folder with name star, there your model (solverun.mdl) file exists.

5)create a new folder outside your pwd and copy the .mdl file to the new folder.

6) exit from star-design

7) set your pwd as the folder with .mdl file (u created newly).

8) open prostar and you can find your .mdl file.

9) make the changes whatever you want in prostar.
