hi star users,
i'm looking to model a domain with a number of internal sub domains or volumes that are hollow and will not contain any internal mesh data, just surface mesh, the mesh wizard reports problems at the end and the mesh is unusable, the geometry is imported from cad data and pro-surf used to create db file then import into pro-am and the mesh wizard takes over can anyone help here? i tried the manual but cannot find any help, i'm using Star-CD 3.15A thank you ted |

Hm... I have created such a mesh without any problems, which is the best situation for the 'new-user' ;-) (3.2). Perhaps you should check the surface cell orientation??? Anyway your surface checks have to show no errors, and usually you get the information what the error is about and the remedys are in the manual.
It is possible that proam just doesn't recognise the outside of your model - so I guess some of the surfaces are not closed, or the shells are badly oriented... oh, and maybe do not use the wizard, but just the normal proam surface tools... |
