Anyone know why www.cd-adapco.com is suddenly showing a countdown clock? Seems a bit strange to me.

I do! I do! But as an employee, I'm not allowed to say. You'll just have to wait until the countdown is over.

Does it have anything to do with the retirement of one of CD's founders?

or simply ..... end of CD-adapco???
it could be the launch of star-ccm, the coupling of star and comet. or maybe they have bought fluent?? to destroy them? |

I agree it is the end of STAR-CD. The fluent bought them. In a year ANSYS will buy Fluent and we'll be free of question which code is better, because we will have the best one - STFXluent.

Ok, second guess:
End of the line for STAR-CD. No more development. All previous developers move to CCM+ development. |

Dear matej, I think you have the highest sense of humor among the CFD-Online users forum. How can I thank you for your excellent, realistic comment? You may be right, nobody knows.

Maybe it's the first ever face-to-face meeting between the GUI and solver teams?
