Default What is this Error & how to rectify??

Hello,

I am getting this error message whenever I try to run some simulation on star-CD.. either a tutorial or any simple model. I am using the new version of star-CD V 3.2 and I dont know how to get rid of this error message and get my simulation running??

The Error Message is as follows:

It seems to me that a defective subroutine is used due to "PNP: ***ERROR*** Compilation error in user file "ufile/initfi.f""

The reason it fails to compile the user coding is because it cannot find your fortran compiler: "/opt/starcd/STAR/3.20.000/sunos64_5.8-ultra3-f90_7.0-dso/bin/star: f90: not found"

You can fix this in your hardware.ini (in $STARDIR/etc). There may be a specific variable (e.g. for Linux you specify ABSOFT), but if not, there will be a line that looks like this: "platform SunOS_UltraSPARC PATH=" which specifies your path. Put the actual location of your f90 compiler here and it will work.
