I try to export an engine simulation with moving meshes and spray into Ensight but Ensight reports error. My prostar release is 3.15.520. It is known that Prostar 519 is buggy in this concern. Is it the same for 520 ?

Hi Jo,

There is now a direct reader for Star-CD files in EnSight 9.1 and later. So that's one option.

Another option is to read the EnSight Case files into ens_checker which is a utility to check the format of EnSight Case files. All copies of EnSight include ens_checker, more recent versions provide better checking. So it would again be good to get the latest version, 9.1 or later, for that.

Finally you could recommend to CD-Adapco that they use CEI's EnSight Case file API to correctly write the file format. There is no charge for the API from CEI.

Regards,
Darin
