Hi everyone,
I'm simulating 2d turbulent steady flow past a symmetrical airfoil (naca0015) in a circular domain; before starting the calculations I've been advised to carry out a domain size investigation for alpha=90°: as the domain size increases the drag coefficient decreases (approaching experimental results) and the lift coefficient increases (diverging from experimental values). could anyone explain this? also, experimental results were taken from Sandia National Laboratories, are there any others available? thanks in advance for your patience, piccola |
