Hi, I was trying to import a file from Solid Work that I already saved with IGES extension. But whenever I'm trying to open it I can not find it in the "File Selection" window. Thanks a lot.

Check the file extension. I can't remember which way around it is, but Prostar searches, by default, for .iges extensions, while your file has a .igs extension. Or the other way around.

Exporting as an stl file might be a better option.

Have you tried ez-surf? It is star-cd's first step for an iges file. While pro-am has a hard time with Pro/E files, an iges file written by Pro/E and run through ez-surf (or pro-surf, depending on the version) will get the iges file into pro-am with no surface errors at all. I was suprised at how well it works.

Tom K is right - prosurf (used to be called EZ-surf) handles all CAD surfaces much better than the prostar import does.
