I want to creat a geometry of a tapered pipe and I wan t to just simulate one quarter of the pipe. But I don't want the model have some cells which are not the hexahedrons,so how can I create such a geometry?
Thank you very much for your help! Lee |

If R0 is your larger pipe radius, R1 is the smaller radius, and Z is the length, I would do this:
V 1 0 0 0 V 2 R0 0 0 CSYS 2 VGEN 5 1 2 2 1 0 22.5 0 CSYS 1 V 7 R0 / 2 R0 / 2 0 V 8 R0 / 2 0 0 V 9 0 R0 / 2 0 VGEN 2 100 1 100 1 0 0 Z CSYS 2 VSCA 101 200 1 R1 / R0 CSYS 1 SPL 1 VRAN 2 6 1 SPL 2 VRAN 102 106 1 BLK 1 1 8 7 9 101 108 107 109 BLK 2 8 2 4 7 108 102 104 107 BLK 3 9 7 4 6 109 107 104 106 BLKF 1 10 10 20 BLKF 2 10 10 20 BLKF 3 10 10 20 BLKE 1 3 VMERG ALL Change the 10's and 20's in the BLKF commands to the number of cells you want. Good luck. |
