hi; I m tryng to run STAR under red-hat 9.00 and i get errors on the compilation of the form:
: undefined reference to `__ctype_b' /usr/local/star/v3150A/license/cdlic.o(.text+0x61d7): In function `eVnNhq': : undefined reference to `__ctype_b' /usr/local/star/v3150A/license/cdlic.o(.text+0xc72f): In function `ib9o5J': : undefined reference to `__ctype_b' /usr/local/star/v3150A/license/cdlic.o(.text+0xc78f): In function `qWroxi': : undefined reference to `__ctype_b' /usr/local/star/v3150A/license/cdlic.o(.text+0xd9f7): more undefined references to `__ctype_b' follow is that due to the fact that the STAR-CD version3.150 i have was compiled under red-hat 6.00 ? thanks |

Look at the "hpc with absoft 7.5" discussion. You have to patch your compiler.

This do not seem the problem on my case because i can compile a simple fortran with absoft 8 ( I downloaded the file for compatibility in earlier stage) is just when i run starlink that i get the message. That why i was thinking that the error maybe due to the libraries in STARCD directory that were compiled with earlier versions

ftp://ftp.absoft.com/pub/linux/profo...n80QFIO.tar.gz patch !? |

I did also contacted the STAR-CD people and they have said that they highly advise not to use STAR-CD with red hat 9.00 until there is a new release of ABSOFT
