Hi all,
I work on a two-phase Lagrangian calculation in a tube. And my question in reference to that is if it is possible to create a droplet parcel distribution with a local cylindrical coordinate system. In the droplet menu only global coordinates can be applied. So any idea what I can do??? TIA |

Hello,
To create a parcel in a local coordinate system, you must use the command DRGE. HV |

There's a slider above the 'Edit Droplet Parcels' list that lets you change between coordinate systems.
I find that one can use the Post-Processing>Particle Tracks>Create Particle tracks window to help one arbitrarily place release points (based on the global coord system). Just pick some release points under the 'Initialization' tab and then 'Apply', then under the 'Tables' tab you can use the XYZ coordinates listed for defining the release points in the 'Edit Droplet Parcels' list (but only global coords). Slide to some convenient local coordinate system and then you can then input the initial UVW too. |
