Hi
Does anyone have a macro that can export locally refine meshes from prostar to Tecplot ? If so, please reply. Thanks Jens |

Why do you need a macro? prostar can export any mesh directly to tecplot with a few button clicks.

Hi
Tecplot will not import a mesh with local mesh refinement. Something about the cell couples. The same thing as with Fieldview. It does not import cell couples. Therefore I am look for another way. Any suggestion ? Regards jens |

The problem is that tecplot does not have any concept corresponding to a couple (ie something that joins meshes that are not topologically perfectly connected). There is nothing that you can do in prostar to make up for that deficiency in tecplot other than remodel your refinements with some combination of tets and prisms in the transition area. I suppose what you are asking for is if anyone has an automated refinement macro that does not rely on cpmatches? I'm sorry - I don't have one but I have seen them. Maybe someone else out there does.
Regards, steve |
