Hello,
I'm running an analysis with radiative heat exchange. I've already created the .vfs file for view factors, but when I do a standard restart Star doesn't ask to me if I want to resume the file and it starts to create the file another time. Why this? In the past it was all right. Thank you very much Giovanni |

If it is a run from scratch: View factor file does not exist: STAR-CD calculates and writes view factors View factor file exists: STAR-CD will ask question whether to resume or recalculate view factors
If it is a restart run: View factor file does not exist: STAR-CD calculates and writes view factors View factor file exists: STAR-CD resumes view factors If you need to recalculate view factors during restart run, simply delete the *.vfs file. |

Thank you Michael,
I know that if it is a restart and View factor file exists, STAR-CD resumes view factors. But now View factor file exists , it is a restart run and Star does not resume the file!!! It is very strange, isn't it? Giovanni |
