Velocity of a solid

Hi to all!
How do I apply a velocity to a solid, which is inside a fluid. I dont want to move any mesh, but to transport the heat which is contained in the solid. Applying the velocity to the walls around the solid does not help. Is there another possibility? Thank you in advance, Marc |

Hi Marc!
You can't apply any velocity to a solid (i.e. to cells marked as "Solid" type). It's pointed somewhere in Methodology. So probably you have to use moving mesh or to treat your solid as a "fluid" with some specific properties. Regards, Anton |

Hallo Marc!
Of course you can solve the problem in a coordinate system in which your solid isn't moving. The problem is if you have adequate boundary conditions for the fluid in this case. Marco |

You can introduce a source term for solid heat transfer using sorsca.f.
