Hi, I would appreciate any input from someone with prior experience of FSI with STAR-CD.
In the http://www.adapco-online.com/user_ar...ers/index.html article, the authors detailed two main methods of doing FSI calculations: explicit and implicit. Have done the explicit method already but what I really need is the (more accurate & stable) implicit method. The implicit method basically involves repeating the same flow field solution with subsequently more accurate mesh displacements until a certain convergence criterion on the structural calculations is achieved -all within *the same time step*. The way it should run is just like the PISO algorithm. I just need to know how to 'repeat the same time step'. I need help. Somebody? Anybody? |
