Hi im running 3.15 with the new x windows client and it is impossible to get good screen dumps as every time you try to either capture screen or save screen you get big patches where the drop down menu used to be, is there any way of solving this. Cheers Joel

Hi, Joel,
I had this problem before but solved under the help of this forum. It is because you haven't turned on the X backing store (Google or askjeeves to find what it is). The action to turn it on depends on the X server you are using. For example, if you are using X-Win32 on MS Windows, you can find the option in X-Config submenu; for X Window on *nix, you need to modify some X configuration file. Good chance is that you can find the solution by google-ing "turn on X backing store" for your X server. Or, tell us what you are using. Good luck, Jiaying |

The backing store option is not set properly in your X server. If you are using XVision, right click on the green XV icon in the system tray (beside the clock) and select Properties. Select the Server tab, and ensure that Backing Store is checked.

Ok, I don't know nothing about turning anything on or of, but if you choos glm as the driver you wont get those problems.
