Hi, In fact I have used BL model in my MS thesis code with Cebeci-Smith and Johnson-King models, though not in STAR. Although it is very simple its main drawback is determining a lengthscale, i.e. l(x).Also this model is very dependent on the geometry.
Try to setup BL model as: l = 0.4 s [1-exp(-s' /26)] vt(i) = l^2 w; w=rate of rotation tensor. vt(o) = 0.0168 Ccp Fw Gk; Gk:Klebanoff intermittency factor; Fw:wake parameter All theoretical details can be found in Baldwin-Lomax,AIAA 78-287. Hope this helps a bit, Sener Yilmaz |
