Hi all,
I try to simulate an electric System which consists of different heat sources. In reference to the manual this problem can be solved by using the subroutine sorent.f But the use of this subroutine requires the input of S1P and S2P and I don't know how to define it. The electric power loss which represents my heat source is given in Watt. So could anyone tell me who to define the heat source in Watt?? thanks in advance |

Hi James,
it is pretty easy to realize. The unit for the heat source is Watt/m^3 and can be done in SORENT.F by defining the linearized SOURCE = S1P-S2P*T in (W/m3). There, S1P is the constant part and S2P the term that depends on temperature itself. So if you have constant heat sources than just use S1P and set S2P=0. You can also adjust the temperature of any cell to a fixed value T by using S1P=GREAT*T and S2P=GREAT, while GREAT is a very large numer (greater than 1E25). Hope this helps. Regards Mario |
