I'm trying to predict changes in the waterlevel due to turbulens around for example bridge pillars.A slip-surface boundary is used at the watersurface and I'm planning to get the waterlevel from the calculated pressure. The question is how???

Why dont you use the VOF free surface model for this task?

I am trying out the VOF-model right now, but I thought it would be interesting to compare the two different ways of solving the problem. And it would also be nice to be able to solve the roblem in steady-state instead of transient mode (as far as I've understood the VOF-method in STAR-CD is supposed to be used in transient mode).
