OK so i solved my first problem now i have another, everything is installed and working fine, to a point when i run starlink i get the following message once it starts to compile and everything: Linking single precision sequential executable "rotate"...
f77: unrecognized option `-N3' f77: unrecognized option `-N26' f77: unrecognized option `-N15' f771: Unrecognized option `-f' ###################################### WARNING: Command execution error. Please check screen output for details ###################################### starin.f compile error. Exiting starlink. as far as i can tell absoft seems to be working fine and so does everything else, my environmentals seem ok too at least i cant see any problems with them. any ideas? cheers joel |

ABSOFT=/usr/absoft ; export ABSOFT
PATH=:$ABSOFT/bin:$PATH:. It is important that $Absoft comes before $PATH, otherwise try "which f77" and you see that the gnucompiler is used. |

Hmmm, these were exactly the same kind of problems I faced when I first installed STAR-CD on Red Hat. I renamed the original f77 compiler and in its place I created a symbolic link to Absoft's F90 instead.
Q: Could you get STARWATCH and starwdaemon to work properly? |
