Hello, there,
I am using StarCD, on a remote SGI machine, to produce some pictures of the claculated result. However, I encounter a starnge problem: the pictures always get an urgly yellow background. It looks just fine on screen but twists the colors of both foreground and background when saved to a file. This happens when I use ssh on my linux box to connect the SGI, and disappears when use XWin32 (or Exceed) on Windows 98. But I do need to use Linux much more often. What I have done to try to solve out the problem: 1) issue xstdcmap -all on SGI then initiate PROSTAR; 2) replace /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb.txt on my linux with /usr/lib/X11/rgb.txt on SGI, restart local X server, ssh connect to SGI, then start PROSTAR; 3) the same as 2), but before starting PROSTAR, issue xstdcmap -all. All these could not get rid of the problem. Any suggestion to sort out this annoying problem? Many thanks, Jiaying Xu |

plot to the case.plot file and convert the pictures after that. In prostar:
term ,, file rast $ repl produdes a file cassed "case.plot" Then run the "plot" command from the command prompt to convert the file to something else. |
