What should I be guided by choosing the reference data cell?

Is your flow incompressble or compressble? for incompressible flow, it is not important at all. For compressble flow, it really depends on the combination of boundary conditions used.

I deal with laminar compressible flow. My model simulates an opposed jets problem, so the boundary types I use are: inlet (two of them), wall (two of them) and pressure boundary with zero static pressure.

In this case, the reference cell is not important since the pressure will be fixed according to pressure boundary.

Hi. I deal with laminar 2D-compressible flow of small sonic nozzle(critical nozzle).
[B.C] 1)stagnation(p=0.2MPa, T=293K), 2)pressure(p=atmospheric pressure), 3)symmetry, 4)wall. What should I be guilded by choosing the Reference Data Cell? |
