Hi Bo,
I think in Star-CD it is not possible to calculate diffusion through a material defined as SOLID. You should then use a porous material or define the "solid" region as air for example. Then include the diffusion coefficient for your material in the program. Hope this will help you. Additionally you can use the user subroutine diffus.f to implement diffusion coefficients that vary.
