Dear Star-CD users!
I am very interesting how can Star-CD code can solve 1D Riemann problem with two strong rarefactin waves: Heat ratio = 1.4; Left conditions: Density=1.4, Pressure=1, Velocity=-2.5; Right conditions: Density=1.4, Pressure=1, Velocity=2.5; I would be appreciate if anybody send me e-mail with profiles of density and pressure. Please, use the following conditions: Courant number 0.9, uniform grid 1000 cells, number of time iterations - approx. 500-1000. Thank you. Alexey |

(1). I don't think that the pressure-based formulation is suitable for the transient, shock wave type flow problem. (2). To save the time, why not contact the vendor directly to see whether the code can handle it or not. (3). Based on the published technical papers, this type of problem has been modelled by the density based transient formulation. (4). It is useless to push the code beyond its normal limit of application. (5).On the other hand, I am also interested in the result of this test case.
