I'm running a 3D free surface analysis in STAR-CD with water and air. Ultimately I'm only interested in the water surface elevation throughout the run time. Is there an easy way to only show the edges and water phase within STAR? Thanks in advance.

load the scalar VOF - In a 2D section you may choose a color range of 2 and you will see the interface. - In 3D you may try the isosurface plot option. Choose an iso value of lets say .5 and you will see the surface. - If this does not work there is a workaround which is not beautiful but better than nothing: Use the commands cset news fluid getc none dens cset subs prange 4 0 .5 cplo Using this you will not have a smooth surface but it works for sure.
