Hello,
I did not get answer for the last question and I hope this one will be easier. I like to plot stream lines in Prostar or another softwares. It seems that it can not be done by usual prostar commands. Does anybody have a macro to do that or do I have to use another software. If a macro exists, please indicate me where I can find it. If there are softwares which are compatible with Prostar results and allowing this kind of plots, please say me which one? Thanks for your help. Bjorn |

Hi,Bjorn You can do it with STAR GUide. First, you go to this menu: Post-processing -> Particle Tracks Then click the 'Options' menu, you can find a new menu as 'Particle Tracking', what you want to do is just fill this menu. It is very easy and good to plot steam line. Good Luck. Regards/Yang

I do not well understand because I think that stream lines and particles tracks are not the same lines.
1) For particle tracks, you try to get x(t),y(t),z(t). That means that you follow a particle in the flow. 2) For stream lines, you have to solve : dx/U=dy/V=dz/W which gives you field lines vec(V). So, sorry, Bjorn, but I do not have any answer to your question. Regards Vincent |

You can plot streamlines only for 2d-problems. Use command getv stre.
