i have a contour plot from starcd for xy and w axial velocity, but a like to extract the date from starcd it is possible or not thanks

Prostar can output data in many formats, it is up to you to choose the most appropriate for your application

In no particular order Prostar can

output data in the majority of standard forms as recognised by commercial packages such as Tecplot, Ensight Fieldview

output raw data in ASCII files using SAVUSER: Writes a file containing the vertex or cell post data

output graph registers SDATA Saves graph register data values into a file

If this is not enough for you both STAR-CD and Prostar provide hooks for the user to access all the main data structures.
