I'm trying to analyze radiator using STAR-CCM+

Considering other structures (aircraft parts), it's almost impossible to mesh all the parts of radiator. (large number of meshes)
So I want to simplify the radiator as a plate (or something very simple shape) using some coefficients or parameter that comes from experimental data of radiator
Is there any way to do it?
I have performace data of radiator.

Thank you

hi.
You need to model the radiator as a porous region. And you should convert the dP-Q curve to porous inertial and viscous resistances. Support center should have nice documents about this topic.

Thank you for your advice! It helped a lot, can you recommend any paper?

I am glad to help. feel free to ask

Unfortunately, I do not have access to the support center, but there was a good document something like "best practice for vehicle thermal simulations".

Also chalmers university uses starccm a lot. check this thesis: https://odr.chalmers.se/it ems/d9632a6a-a41d-44f1-b9b0-6efbbf03a4b9
