Hello,

I am having a weird issue with my license server that happens at random with starCCM and some other software i manage for my department. I figured maybe another system admin may have come by it and none of my googlefoo has been able to find the answer.

So here is the first image showing that nothing is running (but really it is)




Image 2 showing the software is stuck at starting up. (but really its working)



Image 3 Shows the log that licenses are working and being checked out even though everything else shows they are not.



System info:

Server 2008 R2 64bit -Fully updated
HyperV running Multiple VMs

How I can sometimes fix this:

Shutdown the services for FlexNet
Turn off VMs
Turn off Virtual Networking Adapter
Disable Networking complete
Start flexnet
Start StarCCM license

Restart Networking and everything else in reverse order.

This works for awhile (week or two) but then goes back.

Does anyone have a solution without disrupting every other service my server runs?
