While using Star-CCM+, I was trying to get a streamline scene. As I was trying to make a new "derived part", a window popped up saying an "Unexpected Exception". It further continued to read " A java.lang.RuntimeException exception has occured in my log folder. Can anybody help? Thanks.

That's a generic error. That error simply means that "something went wrong". Unless it happens repeatedly, don't worry about it. Star is a little buggy, especially on older versions.
