Hello, my name is Vamsi Krishna and I am an M.Tech student. I am using REEF3D software to perform several studies. I have two questions:
First, is there a code to specify the material properties of concrete, plastic, PVC, etc.?
Second, when specifying porosity using VRANS porous, we need to provide alpha, beta, and grain size. Is there a way to specify only the porosity of a structure without providing these other parameters.

Thank you if anyone can help me with these questions.

The other parameters are important for the VRANS algorithm, see here for the documentation: https://www.reef3d.com/wp-content/up...cej_porous.pdf

Thank you for your reply, sir.
Yes, thank you for the document; I will go through it.
I have one more question: Is it possible to assign a material property, such as when I want to research PVC pipes as a breakwater?

It is possible, but you need to parameterize the material yourself based on its physical properties.

Thank you for your reply.

I didn't understand what you meant by "parameterize the material myself based on its physical properties." Could you please elaborate and explain this? How should I go about parameterizing the material?

You need to find the input for the VRANS algorithm (d50, porosity, alpha beta).

I'm using PVC pipes as a breakwater structure. How do I determine the parameters for this application?
