I am working on wave structure interaction with recurved seawalls. However, I am worried that the cartesian mesh in REEF3D can solve the equations for curved profiles. I could not see the results of the impulse forces on the curved wall when the wave hits the recurved portion, where it is shown in lab experiments. The Paraview visualisation shows the wave hits the recurve portion of the seawall, but the magnitude of forces is not achieved.

Can you help me with what's wrong with simulations?

This is a bit difficult to say. Could you upload some results for me to get a better picture?

Thank you for responding.

The objective is to find forces on the seawall with a recurved parapet. The setup is shown in Figure 1Screenshot 2024-10-20 192536.png and the force results are presented in Figure 2 Screenshot 2024-10-20 192357.jpg. Please find the attachments. However, the magnitudes of forces with recurved walls are not the same as experimental measurements. Also, the impulsive forces due to the recurve wall are not appreciated after the transient state. Kindly suggest what could be the issue with numerical modelling.

Thank you.
